| Flame front |
|
This separates the area of burnt fuel from the one that is to be burnt in the cylinder. The quality of the flame front determines the time that it takes the fuel mixture to ignite in the camera.

| Flat engine |
|
Type of engine whose power curve is gentle and whose peak torque is quite separate from the maximum effective output. so that between the two there is a good margin of revolutions. It is a very elastic engine. and so it is not necessary to change gears a lot.
