The lambda or oxygen probe is an electromechanical device that is placed at the entrance where the gases enter the catalyst. It is made up of a metallic part and a couple of cables that send electrical impulses which are analyzed by an electronic device that gives signals to the stoicheometrics of the injection. According to the data received from the probe. a switchboard enriches or weakens the mixture to get an appropriate proportion.
