Type of airbag with the shape of a tube that stops the head hitting against the doors. Lateral airbags act when there are side on collisions.

| Leaf spring |
|
This is the spring that is used in suspensions. mainly in industrial vehicles and off-road vehicles. It is made up of a series of superimposed sheets united by rings. It is inserted between the wheel and the chassis and absorbs road surface irregularities. The main spring plate is curved and is joined to the chassis by two anchors. one of which is mobile so as to compensate the variations in length when deformed. The other leaf springs are joined to the master and are fixed to the wheel.

| Lean mixture |
|
Stoichoimetric mix (air and fuel) with excess air. This type of mixture increases the temperature in the combustion chamber and promotes the appearance of nitrous oxides. If the mixture is very lean it does not ignite because of the difficulty to create and spread the flame front. Lean mixtures are used in situations where engine operation does not need a high performance. With the appearance of catalysers. engines stopped using lean mixtures. but are used on direct fuel injection engines with stratified loading.
