|
Also known as cylinder block. The part where the cylinders are machined and serves as the base for the rest of the engine components is called in this way. Inside there are the supports for the crankshaft and on top of this the cylinder head rests so as to create the combustion chamber. The block can have the cylinders machined directly into the material itself or use cylinder sleeves.

| Engine brake |
|
This consists of using the resistant torque of an engine to reduce the speed of a vehicle. It is done by lifting the foot of the accelerator. The feed system stops supplying fuel and the engine tends to lose revs reducing the speed of the vehicle when the transmission is not in neutral or the clutch pressed.

| Engine oil |
|
Lubricating oil that is prepared for use in engines. Because of its viscous properties it facilitates sliding. so no friction. between parts and reduces temperature and wear.
