Variable Nockenwellen Steuerung or System of Variable Distribution. It consists of displacinging the camshaft using the oil pressure in the system of lubrication. It uses a hydraulic mechanism. The system increases the crossing of valves when the engine rotates ath high revs. It is used by BMW.

| Variable admission |

Or variable length admission. A system that allows the modification of the admission channel dimensions. So it is possible to improve the filling of the cylinder when the engine turns at any rpm.

| Variable admission manifold |
|
A system that treats the admission gases and improves the entrance of air into the cylinders. So. the pressure increases based on the engine revolutions. The conventional admission manifolds do not have the flexibility of the variable admission manifolds with respect to the different engine revolutions.
