| Venturi |
Property of the fluids. Air when going through a narrower area accelerates to guarantee the circulation. It is applied in car mechanics in the carburettor.

| Viscosity |
Property that measures the resistance that of oil (lubricant) to flow based on its temperature. This resistance is bigger as it cools down and smaller as it warms. The best behaviour in an oil is achieved when its density hardly varies with the temperature. Too high a viscosity can give starting problems in the cold and ne too low one cannot guarantee the formation of a resistant layer. This property is measured according to the norm ASTM-D-445 and the results are indicated in centistokes at 40 C or 100 C.

| Viscosity index improver |
The substance that is added to engine oil to maintain its fluid qualities at low temperatures and viscosity at high operating temperatures is called in this way.
