| Brake distributor |
|
A device that is used to reduce the pressure on the back brkes and to avoid the blocking taking place on the rear wheels before the the ones on the front. The brake distributor is used on competition vehicles to distribute the pressure in the hydraulic brake circuit among the two axles. It can be regulated by the driver to adapt the distribution depending on the type of driving style and the road surface. On street vehicles an automatic brake limiter is used on the rear axle that acts.

| Brake fluid |
|
Hygroscopic liquid with a high inflammation temperature. It should be kept in a sealed container so that its inflammation point does not decrease and braking power lost. Its function is to transmit the pressure coming from the brake pedal to the calipers (disc brakes) or toward the drbies (drum brakes).
