Degree of viscosity S.A.E.
The S.A.E. (Society Automotive Engineers) is the American technical nomenclature used for oils to determine its viscosity. There are two criteria used: those with the letter W (winter) whose properties have been determined at 18 below zero. and those that take the initials S.A.E.. made at 100 above zero. So. a S.A.E. 30W oil indicates that its viscosity is 30 on the 18 below zero scale and a S.A.E. 60 has a viscosity 60 on the 100 scale. In a combined nomenclature (for example S.A.E. 30W60) we find multigrade oils that maintain their properties at different temperatures.

Density
Relationship between the weight of an element and the volume that it occupies. A denser body indicates that its weight is bigger in relation to a certain unit volume.
