| Differential reduction |
|
This is the reduction that is produced in the revolutions at the exit of the gearbox before it reaches the wheels. The ratio is based on the number of teeth on the gear and the crown of the differential. A differential ratio of 3.7:1 means that for every 3.7 turns that arrive from the gearbox only one turn is made at the exit of the differential.
